North Idaho Natural Resources Experience You’ll find lake and water sciences, farm life, timber industries and tribal exhibits. North Idaho is rich in Natural Resources and you’ll find it in this experience.

ABOUT US: We are the Carper family of Paddy’s Sports Bar. For the last nine years we have been hosting ‘Breast Fest’ to raise funds for the Panhandle Health District, Susan G. Komen Idaho and the Kootenai Health Foundation Cancer Patient Support Fund. This event started to honor our mom Kathy “Kitty” Carper. She lost her long-time battle to breast cancer in 2001, her amazing courage and strength of spirit continues to inspire those who knew her. Over the years many more loved ones have been affected by cancer and this event is our loving tribute to all our dear friends who have lost their battle. Our family was supported by so many in this community and we hope this event can express our enormous feeling of gratitude.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO: To date we’ve raised nearly $120,000 for cancer patients in North Idaho! We donate our funds to community cancer foundations; including the Panhandle Health District, Kootenai Health Foundation Patient Support Fund and Susan G. Komen Idaho. The funds we raise help cancer patients in North Idaho, often providing FREE lifesaving mammograms and breast health screenings. The funds donated to the Kootenai Health Foundation will be used in the Cancer Patient Support Fund. The fund has the greatest financial need within the cancer center and works to preventing any financial barriers that would prohibit a patient from getting the care they need. Often this money is used for gas cards, necessary pain medications not covered by insurance, co-pays, cab rides and sometimes even groceries or new shoes for kids. The money also goes toward research, one day we’ll find a cure for breast cancer and all cancer.
